Terms of service
The working agreement, written to be read. A signed proposal for a specific project always takes precedence over anything here.
Last updated: 1 August 2026.
Scope and proposals
Every project starts with a written proposal covering what is included, the timeline and the price. Work is carried out against that proposal. Anything outside it is a change, which we price and you approve before it is done. We will not start billable work without an agreed scope.
Pricing and payment
Prices published on this site are starting ranges. The figure in your proposal is the one that applies. Development projects are split into milestones with a payment against each. Marketing programmes are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due within seven days unless the proposal says otherwise.
Third-party costs are yours and are billed to your own accounts: domains, hosting, platform licences, premium plugins or apps, stock media and advertising spend. We will always tell you what these are before they are incurred.
Timelines
Timelines in a proposal assume feedback, content and access are supplied when requested. If material is late, the timeline moves by a similar amount. We will flag this rather than let a deadline slip silently.
Revisions
Each design or build stage includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in the proposal. Revisions within scope are covered. Changes that alter the agreed direction after sign-off are handled as a change request.
Ownership
On final payment, you own the deliverables: the website, code, design files and content produced for you. Accounts we create on your behalf, including hosting, domains, advertising and analytics, are registered in your name from the start and are yours regardless of payment status. We retain the right to describe the work in general terms as a case study only with your written permission.
Confidentiality
We sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share anything confidential, and we are happy to use your template. Credentials, data and business information you share with us stay private and are used only to deliver the work.
Cancellation
Marketing programmes run month to month. You can cancel with notice before the next billing date and pay nothing further. Development projects can be stopped at any milestone boundary; you pay for work completed and delivered up to that point, and you receive it.
Warranty and support
Builds include a defined support period after launch, stated in the proposal, covering defects in what we delivered. It does not cover changes to third-party platforms, new features, or issues caused by edits made after handover. Ongoing support is available separately.
Liability
We deliver work to a professional standard and stand behind it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the work the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes that depend on third parties such as search engines or advertising platforms.
Changes to these terms
Updates are posted here with a new date. Changes do not alter the terms of a project already underway, which are governed by its signed proposal.
