Challenge
Expats and tourists arriving in Poland had the information they needed, city guides, local listings, what is actually worth knowing this week, scattered across dozens of separate websites, Facebook groups and blogs that were frequently out of date.
Approach
We consolidated city guides, curated news, local listings and discounts into a single app rather than a link directory, built in FlutterFlow with a Firebase backend and REST API integrations for live content, plus a content management layer so the publishing team could keep listings current without a developer in the loop for every update.
What we built
- City guides covering the major Polish cities the expat community actually lives in
- A curated news feed, not a raw aggregator
- Local listings and exclusive discounts in one place
- A content management system so publishers can push updates without a release cycle
Outcome
Poland Portal shipped as a single go-to companion app for the expat community, replacing a scattered mix of groups and blogs with one maintained source. The client owns the app and its accounts outright. It is not currently listed on the App Store or Google Play.
